Danica is an 19 year old UK singer/songwriter who has ‘a powerful, unique and captivating voice, and a passionate connection with her music‘. Danica writes original music and was selected to play at READING. LEEDS and HENLEY FESTIVALS, 2012/2011 where she received rave reviews. Her song ‘BIGGER MAN’ was selected by BBC Introducing as one of the best of 2012. She has shared the stage with the likes of LUCY SPRAGGAN, FRANK HAMILTON, STING, JOOLS HOLLAND, GENO WASHINGTON, NEWTON FAULKNER, LAUREN AQUILINA,  JAKE BUGG, RYAN KEANE and DubRocca (dubstep producer).

So it was in June 2012, Danica opened the HENLEY FESTIVAL, performing the same night as STING. She also played the Henley Festival in 2011, at just 17 years old, sharing the bill with JOOLS HOLLAND. Another of Danica’s more memorable gigs was supported the musical legend, GENO WASHINGTON, at the famous Half Moon in Putney, London.

Earlier this year, Danica was invited to the BBC INTRODUCING Masterclass by LINDA SERCK of BBC Berkshire, where she took her opportunity of 1 minute of fame and sang acapella live streamed in front of industry professionals, including MAVERICK SABRE and his manager, and ROB DA BANK at the famous ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS. Her spontaneous performance led to her being aired on JO WHILEY’s Radio 2 and LINDA SERCK”s BBC Berkshire Introducing shows.

Danica has also played many well known venues e.g. The O2 ARENA, Reading Festival, Leeds Festival, Henley Festival, the O2 Academy Oxford, The Jazz Cafe Camden, The Half Moon, The Purple Turtle Camden, Chinawhite Club, Queen of Hoxton, Cuban Bar and Camden Proud in London, the epicentre of some of the greatest British music She has also been gigging in Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London with her amazing guitarist, Angus Chandler and they have also played BBC Introducing gigs,

Danica’s original songs have been played on national radio stations (Radio 6, Radio 2 and Radio 1 by TOM ROBINSON,  JO WHILEY and SKREAM & BENGA, KISS FM and local BBC radio (Berkshire, Oxfordshire Introducing), in addition to international livestream radio in the US and Canada. She has received much media attention from the BBC, appearing as featured guest, and her Reading Festival gig was aired on on BBC  TV. She was also featured on MUSICALITY TV, for which she is a nominated ambassador.

Danica has been writing and recording, with various producers including Stuart Epps, ELTON JOHN’s ex-producer. She is now committed to writing extensively and is working on some exciting projects with a view to producing her first  music album. Danica is, as yet, unsigned.

Danica started young and at 16 years of age she had made it to the finals of a national singing/songwriting competition at the O2 Arena in London, fending off fierce competition from many thousands of competitors to get to runner up in her under 18 category. Danica’s success to date have been achieved alongside attending Henley College where she recently completed her A levels.
